Pilates Mat - Mixed Level

This class is recommended for anyone who has had a minimum of six Pilates classes within the past one year. You must have a comfortable skill and knowledge of Mat work and the ability to perform the exercises while being coached; without the aid of a teacher demonstration. The Mixed Level class will continue to teach and connect you to the mind/body concept of Pilates using both a demonstrative and moderately-paced execution of the protocol. Intermediate and some advanced exercises will be taught. The end goal is to be able to skillfully and efficiently perform Intermediate exercises "in flow".

Pilates Mat Basics

This class is designed to encourage a deep mind/body connection, breathe, and postural alignment.  You will be encouraged to connect to your body and recognize both strengths and imbalances.  The class will encourage correct body alignment through improved form and inner focus.  This Pilates Mat class is intended to use both beginner and intermediate protocols as a base for learning and intensifying your Pilates experience.

Gentle Yoga

This class is designed for anyone who has little or no yoga experience and would like to discover the benefits of this 3,000 year-old practice. The basics of Hatha Yoga, including the fundamental principles, techniques, and foundation poses, will be presented. The focus will be balance for the mind, body, and spirit.

Hatha Yoga - Mixed Level

Combining Asana (poses), Savasana (relaxation), Pranayama (breath work), and meditation, this class is designed with the experienced student in mind. The focus will be on proper alignment to bring balance, strength, and calmness to the body and mind. The class will be geared to students who practice at different levels as well as anyone who has completed the Introduction to Yoga Series.

Holistic Yoga

Holistic Yoga is a class which aims to promote healing in the body, mind and spirit of each student in an environment which is accessible to all levels of physical ability.  Through gentle vinyasa (breath linked with movement), this class will open and ease tension and increase strength and flexibility.  As our bodies become more relaxed, deeper mental and spiritual practices such as pranayama(energy control using the breath), mantra(affirmations) and meditation are introduced.  Holistic Yoga inspires individuals to become the best version of themselves.

Strength and Stretch

Some of the most effective exercises are the simplest; exercises that build on the basics.  This is a full-body conditioning class using a classic exercise progression to build muscle, flexibility, and balance.  Using your own body weight, dumbbells, tubing, and various accessories, Amy will modify the workout when needed to meet all levels of fitness.
