In 2003 a life-changing event caused me to rethink my career goals. While my personal life was the catalyst for this change, it was a timely gift.

I have understood from a young age that it is what's on the inside that matters. I was increasingly discouraged at the focus put on the "aesthetics" of fitness and the lack of attention to individual fitness goals. I feel that fitness is for everyone, and we are not all created the same. I longed to show anyone who was interested that we are each as individual as our thumbprint and should embrace our most unique and beautiful selves. I knew then, as I know now, that this is a message that I can deliver.

My interest and introduction to Pilates came to me via my life-long friend, Lisa Sabato.  This introduction allowed me to express my love of exploring new ideas, and in turn share my findings with my students and fellow professionals.  To date, Lisa is an integral part of the Studio family bringing her own special magic to the clients.

What I have always known, and what was truly clear from the very beginning of my career as a Fitness Professional is that "nobody owns the work". This is a statement that I stand by.  Although Joseph and Clara Pilates revolutionized a training method that became their namesake, Joe continued to research, train, and develop his theory throughout his life.  With the practice of Pilates, either alone or in conjunction with other training methods, all things are possible.  It is important to be open to change and growth.

I work with all different types of people. Some of whom are already fit and some have never exercised before.  I train people at all different levels of fitness including survivors of illness, injuries, and cancer and also work with athletes training for sport-specific activities. I will work with anyone who wants to work with me. Since 2005 I have dedicated my career to helping people realize their own physical potential. There is great joy in transforming clients' ideas of what is healthy into a mental and physical reality. The mind-body connection is strong and powerful, and we all have the ability to experience it.

My mission has been and will continue to be to share my ability to help people experience the power within themselves as they begin their journey to a more fit and healthy lifestyle.
