Designed to assist pre-teens improve their strength, flexibility, and coordination, youth Yoga, has proven to comprehensively benefit elementary age kids. With both the newcomer and the athlete in mind, this class will encourage them to become more comfortable with their own bodies. It has been proven that Yoga for kids can help reduce stress and improve their ability to focus on a task.

This class promotes centering, breathing, active yoga postures, and relaxation. Developed to engage children by combining several components in a moderate progression. It is a true mind/body experience that will hold their interest and attention.

After a long period of hibernation, its time to wake up, stretch, and welcome back the sun. The days are longer and warmer, and everyone’s spirit is just a little brighter as we shed our cumbersome outer layers, get back outdoors, and soak up some much needed vitamin D. This workshop will explore the Sun Salutation, the core sequence of Hatha yoga practice. The poses will be done individually, then put together in a gentle flowing sequence to energize the body, mind and spirit.

In honor of Women’s Health Week, this workshop will focus specifically on Yoga for Women’s Health. More so than their male counterparts, women’s bodies go through some mysterious and dramatic changes due to the onset of menstruation; the miracle of pregnancy and childbirth; and ultimately, the process of menopause. Yoga can help develop the flexibility and adaptability needed to go through these changes, and life in general, with a sense of ease and peace. Based on the groundbreaking work of Linda Sparrowe and Patricia Walden, this workshop will explore the Woman’s Essential Sequence, a yoga sequence specifically designed to support a woman’s unique health and wellness needs.
