Stress is an inevitable, albeit necessary part of life.  It is our bodies’ natural warning system, signaling the body to prepare to handle some external threat. The upside is that it helps us prepare for some of life’s challenges.  Things like job interviews, SATS’s, divorce, change in health status, etc.  The downside is that chronic stress can suppress the immune system and accelerate the aging process, as well as cause chronic health problems like headaches, high blood pressure, depression, and heart disease.  Learning to cope with stress is essential to a happy, healthy life.  This workshop will explore various yoga techniques that can be used to cope with life’s unavoidable stressors and help to improve one’s quality of life overall.
