Lauren has been a seeker of truth from an early age, poetry and philosophy sparked her interest in a depth of thought and feeling which spoke to her soul. She began her journey as a yogi as a means to manage crippling depression in her early teenage years. The practice of yoga eased her suffering immensely and gave her the tools to move through life gracefully with purpose. Lauren completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training at the Center for Health and Healing in early 2009 and has been teaching in the spirit of selfless service ever since.
Her classes are accessible to students of all levels of physical ability and aim to promote healing in body, mind and spirit. She encourages her students to dig deep within themselves to uncover the divine strength, peace and wisdom which is inherent in all beings.
Beyond her love for the practice of yoga, Lauren also owns and manages a cooperative farm in Franklin Twp where cooperative members tend to a healthy, biodiverse ecosystem which incorporates vegetables, flowers, herbs, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep and bees. Known as Cooperative 518, her farm intends on providing the local community with fresh, healthful food and to re-engage them with the land and community in which they live.
